Finance & Accounting Internship

A finance professional is responsible for managing the financial activities of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting. They ensure that the company's financial practices comply with regulations and optimize its financial performance and health.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Financial planning & analysis:
a. Prepare and manage annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
b. Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's financial performance, profitability, and efficiency.
c. Prepare financial forecasts and projections based on market trends, business growth, and other influencing factors.
d. Provide regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
e. Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency.

2. Financial reporting:
a. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
b. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and internal policies.
c. Report financial performance to senior management and external stakeholders (e.g., shareholders, auditors, regulatory bodies).
d. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to help drive decision-making.

3. Cash flow management:
a. Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to ensure there is enough liquidity to meet operational needs and financial obligations.
b. Prepare cash flow forecasts and take corrective action to manage any liquidity shortfalls.
c. Optimize the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to maintain a healthy cash cycle.
