About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Participate in procurement /auction in landing centers for sourcing fish and seafood as per the specifications defined
2. Manage the activities of the collection center and ensure fresh materials are sourced and despatched to different locations
3. Work on grading & packing of the auctioned /procured material as per the set quality standards
4. Coordinate with the procurement team for better packing and transportation methods to preserve the freshness of fish and seafood
5. Develop suppliers in new landing centers with respect to quality and food safety
6. Ensure auctioned /procured materials are free from any type of adulteration through routine inspection and verification
7. Reduce customer complaints and improve product rating by implementing proper systems and standards in the fish and seafood category with respect to sourcing.
8. Ensure suppliers comply with food safety and regulatory requirements through regular assessment
9. Involve in new projects for improving product quality and product ratings
10. Manage the activities of contract farming - Aquaculture
11. Conduct aquaculture farm audits
12. Onboard & develop suppliers for semi-finished goods (peeling sheds/pre-processing) with respect to quality and food safety
