Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and optimize 3D models using FreeCAD for various projects, including product prototypes and functional components.
2. Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that designs meet both functional and aesthetic requirements.
3. Operate and maintain 3D printers, ensuring that the outputs meet high-quality standards.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in 3D printing processes, addressing material selection and print optimization.
5. Perform mechanical analyses and testing to validate design integrity and performance.
6. Create detailed documentation for designs, processes, and results to ensure accuracy and reproducibility.
7. Research advancements in 3D printing technologies and suggest innovative approaches to enhance workflows.
8. Assist in scaling production from prototype to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring design feasibility and efficiency.
9. Participate in the design and construction of custom-size large-format 3D printers, gaining hands-on experience with complex engineering systems.

1. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate ideas effectively.
2. Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
3. A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
4. Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
5. Genuine enthusiasm for 3D Printing, Mechanical Design, FreeCAD, with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
6. Candidates pursuing or having completed a degree in Design, Engineering, or related fields will be preferred.
7. Ability to perform consistently and manage the internship alongside academic workload is a must.
8. Strong analytical skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
9. Familiarity with any listed technologies or related academic projects is advantageous.
10. Knowledge of electronics especially single board computers like Rasberry Pi is desirable.
11. Ability to write effective and high quality prompts for ChatGPT and other similar AI assitants is a plus.
