About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Shadowing/assisting the president/CEO in running day to day operations of the company
2. Working on script analysis and coverage
3. Assisting in various investment functions from a creative, business, and legal perspective such as green-lighting projects, fundraising, and roadshows as and when required
4. Maintaining accounts and budgets in MS Excel (experience in QuickBooks would be an added advantage)
5. Assisting in the ongoing litigation and legal matters related to film IP
6. Organizing and drafting all litigation and legal research materials for senior lawyers
7. Maintaining the president's / CEO's/ producer's calendar and scheduling meetings, travel, etc., and taking notes during meetings and distributing them promptly
8. Communicating with artists, studio and business executives, and senior lawyers in a professional and timely manner
9. Assisting in any other matters that the company and its president /CEO / producer need ongoing assistance with
10. Working on software such as Adobe Suite (Illustrator etc.), Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visual Basic Macros, Python, QuickBooks etc. on a daily basis.

Additional information

Job offer: On successful conversion to a permanent employee, the candidate can expect a salary of Rs. 300000 to 1100000 /year

Additional Requirements:

1. Masters in Business / Film / IPR Law from a reputed institute and equivalent work experience is preferred

2. Must be interested in working for movies, theater, original content as only such candidates will be able to derive any value from this opportunity (and vice versa)

3. Only serious candidates with a lifetime interest in original content, Hollywood movies, and Broadway theater, and who can complete the entire six-month internship period with Mon to Sat in-person attendance at Juhu, Mumbai apply

4. Must have aptitude and passion for all three essential areas of operations of a film company, creative, legal, and business (left brain and right brain)

5. Should have an entrepreneurial mindset (hence love the fast-paced, roller-coaster ride that is a start-up environment)

6. Must be detailed oriented, diligent, dependable, and hard-working

Other Details:

2. The selected candidates, if perform at a high level during the course of the internship, have a scope of going to Los Angeles, United States to work after the internship.

3. If they get a job offer with the company after the internship, all expenses of travel, lodging, etc. will be borne by the company.

4. This position is a direct report to the president/CEO/producer of the company.
