About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist the head chef in preparing and cooking recipes for product testing
2. Conduct sensory evaluations and gather feedback on taste, texture, and overall quality
3. Collaborate with the product development team to refine and improve recipes based on testing results
4. Research food science and nutrition principles relevant to our products
5. Analyze ingredient interactions and their impact on the final product
6. Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the nutritional profile and functionality of our offerings
7. Support the head chef in daily kitchen operations, including prepping ingredients and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
8. Assist in the preparation of dishes for internal and external presentations
9. Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
10. Maintain detailed records of product testing procedures and results
11. Prepare reports summarizing findings and suggesting improvements
12. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product preparation and testing
13. Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and engineering to align culinary activities with business objectives
14. Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas
15. Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in food science and nutrition

Other requirements

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in food science, nutrition, culinary arts, or a related field

2. Basic knowledge of food science principles and nutrition

3. Hands-on experience in a kitchen setting, preferably with some professional culinary training

4. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

7. Passion for food, technology, and innovation
