Hotel Operations Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on corporate and travel agent room sales for the hotel
2. Understand the hotel business strategies then set goals and determine action plans to meet those goals
3. Identify new markets and business opportunities and increase sales
4. Represent hotels in various events and exhibition
5. Conduct daily sales calls
6. Provide quick and timely responses, immediate communication to the properties, and develop professional long-term business relationships
7. Support hotel service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
8. Work closely with the revenue manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotels
9. Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
10. Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities
11. Closely following up on all leads within a 24-hour response timeline to clients
