Human Resources (HR) Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist with the development, implementation and administration of employee relations, benefit and compensation, and recruitment programs
2. Maintain all applications, screen and interview applicants suitable for positions
3. Maintain an updated list of applicants and applicant files
4. Carry out recruitment activities, prepare and post vacancy announcements
5. Prepare and place newspaper and internet advertisements for open positions
6. Contact applicants for screening interviews
7. Coordinate and attend job fairs
8. Screen applications and resumes
9. Interview candidates when necessary and refer suitable candidates to department heads
10. Ensure that all applications are reviewed and that acknowledgement/reject letters are sent out 2 weeks from date of receipt
11. Coordinate all visas and immigration activities when necessary and monitor the passports and immigration papers of foreign national employees
12. Prepare letters of offer to new hires
13. Check and document applicant references
14. Assist with the coordination of the employee recognition programmes
