About the internship

Job Summary: As an internal recruiter intern, you will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and hiring top talent to meet the needs of our organization. You will work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs, develop recruiting strategies, and attract qualified candidates. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of recruitment processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment plans
2. Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals
3. Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements
4. Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and fit for the position
5. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and team members
6. Facilitate the interview process, including gathering feedback from interviewers and candidates
7. Extend job offers and negotiate terms of employment
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
9. Build and maintain relationships with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience
10. Assist with onboarding activities for new hires, as needed
11. Stay up-to-date on recruiting trends and best practices to continuously improve recruitment processes

Other requirements

1. A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

2. Proven experience as a recruiter, either in-house or with an agency, with a focus on sourcing and hiring top talent.

3. Strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practices.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

6. Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

9. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

10. A positive attitude and a collaborative team player.
