About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Optimize the entire kitchen workflow from procuring groceries and non-perishables to storage, prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning, and resetting for the next service
2. Ensure the kitchen can efficiently scale to serve 35+ people without compromising quality
3. Create clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all kitchen tasks, including recipes, staff roles, and process checkpoints
4. Utilize tools like Google Docs, photography, and logical outlines to document, print, and display these checklists in the kitchen
5. Assist in setting up and standardizing operations for the kitchen at Serenne (our upcoming backpacker hostel) to mirror Jungli's efficiency and quality
6. Evaluate and refine the current setup of Jungli Caf & Store, which have been launched in a basic format, ready for improvements
7. Add necessary menu items and enhance design by researching, costing, and refining dishes and products
8. Work on the overall customer journey from ordering an item to it being added to their tab
9. Improve the aesthetics and usability of the Jungli Store, transforming it from a shed into an inviting space
10. Identify quick wins and long-term projects to enhance the overall customer experience
11. Develop methods to track customer preferences, inventory, and costs, providing insights for continuous improvement
12. Identify and address operational bottlenecks or creative opportunities such as sourcing sustainable suppliers, introducing new kitchen gadgets, or optimizing layout for efficiency
13. Work closely with other teams, including business operations and marketing, to ensure cohesive operations supporting Jungli's overall vision

1. Exhibit a proactive attitude with an interest in kitchen management, process optimization, and creative problem-solving
2. Demonstrate strong documentation skills by creating clear SOPs and refining processes for improved efficiency
3. Adapt to a dynamic, community-driven environment while handling multiple responsibilities
4. Commit to a minimum stay of one month, with a preference for a longer duration
