About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
Research and Analysis
1. Conducting legal research on case laws, statutes, and legal precedents related to civil and criminal matters
2. Analyzing legal documents, contracts, and evidence to support case preparation.
3. Drafting and Documentation
4. Assisting in drafting legal documents such as petitions, complaints, affidavits, and notices
5. Preparing case summaries, legal opinions, and memos
6. Reviewing and organizing case files for court proceedings
Court Assistance
1. Observing court proceedings to understand litigation processes
2. Assisting in the preparation of arguments and cross-examination notes
3. Maintaining records of court dates, judgments, and filings
Client Interaction
1. Attending client meetings to understand case details and requirements
2. Taking notes during client interviews and documenting facts for case preparation
Fieldwork and Evidence Collection
1. Assisting in gathering and verifying evidence for civil and criminal cases
2. Coordinating with external agencies or witnesses for case-related information
Compliance and Research
1. Keeping up-to-date with changes in laws, amendments, and judicial decisions
2. Ensuring compliance with court and procedural regulations
Administrative Tasks
1. Managing schedules, filing documents, and maintaining legal databases
2. Supporting senior advocates and associates with day-to-day tasks
