Independent Thought is a national human rights organization working towards equality, justice, and mutual respect. We work on human right and law through direct intervention, advocacy, & judicial actions and provide technical and hand-holding support to non-government, government and multilateral funding, policy, research, and grassroots organizations in several states of India. Over the years we have gained varied experience in the areas of law & development, rights of children, women and marginalized communities, governance intervention (ULB, PRI & scheduled areas) and conflict zone, social & legal studies, action research, development of legal manuals & IEC materials, imparting trainings, participatory and rights-based approach, strategic planning, monitoring, & evaluations. We have experience spanning urban, rural, schedule (tribal), and conflict areas across India.
