About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Researching applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines related to educational institutions, including online and offline compliance requirements
2. Identifying and addressing legal obligations under education, IT, labor, consumer protection, and other relevant laws
3. Assisting in aligning institutional policies with legal and regulatory requirements
4. Ensuring compliance with licensing, accreditation, and certification norms for schools and online education platforms
5. Monitoring adherence to data privacy laws such as GDPR and IT Act for online education platforms
6. Drafting and reviewing contracts, MOUs, and agreements with vendors, educators, and stakeholders
7. Assisting in preparing policies such as child safety, anti-bullying, equal opportunity, and grievance correction
8. Liaising with legal advisors, consultants, and government authorities for timely submissions and approvals
9. Collaborating with administrative teams to ensure smooth implementation of compliance measures
10. Identifying potential legal risks and recommending solutions to mitigate them
11. Providing support during internal and external audits or inspections

4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements

1. Currently, pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law (LLB or equivalent)

2. Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to the education sector (e.g., RTE Act, CBSE/ICSE/State Board guidelines, IT laws, consumer protection laws, etc.)

3. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

4. Familiarity with data privacy laws and online platform compliance will be a strong advantage

5. Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
