About the internship
As a legal intern, you will support our legal team in multiple facets of the firm's work, including legal research, case preparation, drafting legal documents, and assisting attorneys with ongoing matters. This role will offer you exposure to various legal domains and an opportunity to understand the practical applications of law.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct thorough research on legal issues, case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas
2. Drafting documents: Assist in drafting contracts, legal briefs, case summaries, legal memorandums, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior attorneys
3. Case support: Help with case preparation for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings
4. Client interaction: Participate in client meetings and support lawyers in communication, preparing reports, and correspondence
5. Compliance & documentation: Review legal documents for compliance, maintain case files, and track case progress
6. Litigation & corporate matters: Gain hands-on exposure to both litigation and corporate law activities, including compliance, mergers, and acquisitions

Who can apply
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship

3. are available for duration of 6 months

Other requirements
1. Law students: Currently pursuing a law degree, preferably in the 2nd or 3rd year of studies from a recognized university
2. Research skills: Strong ability to conduct legal research using various legal databases and tools like LexisNexis, Westlaw, etc.
3. Writing skills: Excellent writing skills with attention to detail in drafting legal documents and reports
4. Analytical thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen interest in practical legal applications
5. Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and attorneys effectively
6. Previous experience: While previous internships or exposure to a law firm or legal department is beneficial, it is not mandatory
