Launched under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), these Kendra (stores) are established across the country to make medicines easily accessible to people.
The main objectives of PMBJK are:

The stores sell a wide range of medicines, including those for chronic and non-chronic diseases, and are operated by private individuals, organizations, or NGOs. By promoting the use of generic medicines, the program also helps raise awareness about the benefits and cost-effectiveness of generics compared to branded drugs.
