About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Collect data on consumers, competitors, and the marketplace, consolidating information into actionable items, reports, and presentations
2. Understand business objectives and design surveys to discover prospective customers' preferences
3. Compile and analyze statistical data using modern and traditional methods
4. Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis
5. Interpret data, formulate reports, and make actionable recommendations
6. Use online market research tools and catalog findings into databases
7. Provide competitive analysis on companies' market offerings, pricing models, sales, and methods of operation
8. Evaluate program methodology and data to ensure accurate releases and correct angles
9. Stay informed on market trends and implement best practices
Requirements:
1. Proven market research analysis experience
2. Ability to interpret large amounts of data and multi-task effectively
3. Strong communication and presentation skills
4. Excellent knowledge of statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, or similar), databases, and MS Office
5. Acumen in search engines, web analytics, and business research tools
6. Familiarity with CRM programs
7. Knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
8. Working knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and mining
9. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
10. BS degree in Statistics, Marketing, or a related field
