Navjyoti India Foundation is a registered non-profit organization that was founded in the year 1988 by the Magsaysay Award recipient Dr. Kiran Bedi and 15 other like-minded officials of Delhi Police, as a result of the inextricable link that existed between crime and drugs. Over the last 29 years, Navjyoti has been working relentlessly with the under-served community of slums in Delhi-NCR and has so far touched the lives of more than 4 lakh beneficiaries. Navjyoti is enabling self-reliance through a child education program, skill upgradation program, and community development program.
Our bottom-up approach of inclusive development and self-motivation has touched millions of lives and has moved us on to the path of sustainable development through our integrated and multi-disciplinary approach focused on initiatives in child education, women empowerment, skill upgrades for youth, community development, and the environment.
