Additional Information:
The Temple Project consists of a one-stop portal containing detailed information of more than 4 lakh temples.
If we search for some specific temple, we get results from various sources. This is relatively easy when we search for famous temples. It can be quite tedious to find information on not very popular temples on the world wide web. The results are scarce and contain incomplete information. There isn't a single portal where we can find information on all the temples around the country (popular or less popular, big or small, ancient or new). We tried to solve this problem by creating a website containing more than 4 lakh Hindu temples from around the country. On our website, we provide each detail related to the temple such as its location, images of the temple, videos related to it uploaded by devotees and information about the temple. A user can search for temples located close to your location but unknown to you. The portal also provides the phone number of contact persons and website details of the temple if any. We hope to give our users easy access to information and to establish this portal as a repository for Hindu temples.
