About the internship
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our growing team and gain valuable experience in the design & development of LiDAR systems. The internship program is for 6 months, and you will work alongside experienced engineers to learn the design process, apply your creativity, and contribute to the development of Next-Gen LiDAR technology.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Support the design and modeling of LiDAR components and assemblies using CAD software.
2. Perform linear & non-linear static and dynamic FEA analysis using Ansys.
3. Interpret FEA results, create simulation reports, recommend design changes and solutions.
4. Assist in performing FEA simulations for studying optical performance & deviation.
5. Assist in automating the repetitive tasks using Python scripting.
6. Create and update engineering drawings with proper GD&T application.
7. Propose design solutions considering manufacturability (DFMA) for high-volume production.
8. Perform Tolerance Stack-up Analysis & other hand calculations to support the Engineering Design.
9. Assist with revising & releasing drawings and BOMs through PLM change management processes.
10. Assist with RCA & DFMEA processes using APIS IQ RM.

Other requirements
1. Final year master’s student in Mechanical Engineering with a CGPA of 7.5 or higher.
2. Strong foundation in Solid Mechanics & Machine Design.
3. Strong analytical skills, pro-active attitude, team player, and excellent communication skills.
4. Proficiency in a leading 3D modeling tool – preferably CREO and SolidWorks.
