About the internship
The Mercy Mission Fellowship Program is a 9-month full-time experiential learning and exposure program in the social sector space, where fellows get to:
1. Work immersively with NGOs across areas such as livelihood, health, slum and rural development, mental health, sustainability, etc.
2. Help design and implement effective solutions to pressing challenges on-ground
3. Engage with sector experts to develop societal perspectives and key competencies
4. Have access to mentoring for overall professional development
5. Attend learning sessions and training during the fellowship
6. Data collection, research, and report writing (project-based)
All this while reinforcing feelings of sincerity, compassion, and gratitude to inculcate a lifelong ethic of service to society.
Criteria - The Fellowship is open to young graduates/postgraduates:
1. Between the ages of 20-28 years
2. Having prior experience volunteering or working in the social sector space
3. Having designed or led initiative/s that created a direct impact on the ground
4. Having a passion for creating impact and transformative change
5. Willingness to relocate and travel (project-based) during the fellowship

About Mercy Mission
Mercy Mission (MM) is a coalition of 20+ NGOs based in Bengaluru that came together during the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mercy Mission initiated many critical relief activities during Covid 1.0 (2020) & Covid 2.0 (2021).
A city-wide helpline handled 40,000+ medical emergencies, food distress & counseling calls. About 139,000+ dry ration kits were distributed during the pandemic. Mercy Kitchens were set up to serve 16.5 lakh food packets & 12.3 lakh food packets given by donors were also distributed. MM distributed 2.85 lakh meals to 1.32 lakh passengers in 107 Shramik special trains leaving Bengaluru. Under Mercy Angels, Mercy Mission handled 1500+ last journeys. MM also operated a 48-bed step-down hospital & assisted in setup 3 CCC facilities in Hassan, Kalburgi & Bengaluru.
The latest and ongoing initiative is the Mercy Mission Fellowship Program 2021-22, which is a 9-month experiential learning, research, and development program.
