1. Must be very hands-on with programming

2. Should be able to develop the required algorithms and data structures. e.g., heaps, search trees, and radix-sort

3. Must be very good with time complexity analysis of the algorithms and DS operations

4. Must have a very good functional and practical knowledge of DB, OS, and computer networking
