1. Creating a packaging manifesto that clearly defines the vision & purpose of the rehaul
2. Conducting market analysis on the competing brands, other brands, international brands, and their SOPs on the packaging whilst taking the key learnings from the same
3. Creating a process chart for current packaging, grading & naming processes
4. Working on a revised process chart for proposed changes, and the impact on process & costs
5. Working on process setting, vendor identification & sampling of centralizing product packaging/elements
There will be 2 legs to this internship which are mentioned as follows:
1. Customer-first packaging:
a. In-store: Shopping bags, bill holders, ribbons, tissue wraps, stickers, message cards, tags, etc.
b. Online: Tamper packs, boxes, tape, stickers, tissue wraps, bubble paper/wrap, stuffing, etc.
2. Product packaging:
a. Soft furnishings
b. Breakable hard items
c. Non-breakable hard items
Chumbak was founded in 2010 as an idea for creating a range of fun souvenirs for India and Indians. It was a simple thought; let's give the world something cool to take back from their travels to India. We also loved the design and that was always above everything. Though, little did we know what was to follow. What started with souvenirs stocked in multi-brand outlets, soon transformed itself into a business, spanning stores across the country in both our large format, full experience stores, and pop-up stores across popular malls and high streets.
