We are seeking a dynamic and driven business development (sales) intern to join our growing IT and software company. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding our customer base, and driving brand awareness in the local market.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Prospecting and identifying potential customers within the assigned territory
2. Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
3. Scheduling and attending face-to-face meetings with decision-makers to understand their business requirements
4. Presenting our software solutions and services effectively to generate interest and secure new sales
5. Maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified leads and proactively following up to convert them into customers
6. Providing valuable feedback on customer pain points, competitive landscape, and market dynamics
7. Achieving and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
8. Building and nurturing long-term relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and cross-selling opportunities
9. Staying up-to-date with the company's product portfolio, pricing, and promotional offers
10. Participating in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to expand the company's reach
11. Documenting all customer interactions and maintaining accurate records

1. Minimum 6 months of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the IT/software/service industry
2. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively engage with industry executives
3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
4. Proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about driving business growth
5. Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
6. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required
7. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
8. Previous experience in consultative selling or solution-based selling
9. Basic knowledge of the IT/software industry and its competitive landscape
