Media & Public Relations (PR) Part Time Internship

Your Roles and Responsibilities
Manage day to day client servicing tasks, be responsive to client needs and execute PR plans and extend support to your team members
Take ownership of following and delivering on all standard operating procedures (daily and weekly coverage reports, month-end reports, event reports, MOM, WIP etc.), while strictly adhering to the timelines
Prepare and distribute press releases in media and follow-up for coverage
Address inquiries from the media and other external parties to generate visibility for clients
Track media coverage, and follow industry trends
Develop and nurture relationships with relevant media; day-to-day contact with the media to pitch stories and generate coverage
Proactively identify opportunities for clients on their own
Take a brief from a client, assess and recommend media opportunities
Track media movements, event participation and speaker opportunities for clients
Be able to advise clients and the team on the latest trends in media
Prepare first draft of pitch notes, opinion articles, press releases, case studies, quotes, reports, etc. in a timely manner
Handle press conferences, media invites, attendance, and follow-ups
Collate and report media coverage, monthly reports and coverage dossiers to the client along with analysis and recommendations on next steps
Be able to put together research and ideas for proposals and pitches
