About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Support the collection and collation of data related to solid waste and plastic waste management through primary and secondary sources.
2. Verify the secondary data through urban local bodies as well as with the present on-ground situation.
3. Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and community groups, to facilitate overall project activities and implementation.
4. Help in report preparation, presentations, minutes for meetings, and other documentation to support -project activities and ensure effective communication of progress and results.
5. Cross-collaborate with other teams/colleagues and assist the team in day-to-day activities and support events if required.
6. Be a team player, closely work with the supervisor and be open to fieldwork and first-hand data assimilation.

4. are from or open to relocate to Bhimtal, Haldwani, Nainital and neighboring cities

Other requirements

Qualifications:

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed (not more than a year) a master’s degree in environmental science /Waste Management/Public Policy or other relevant fields.

2. Strong interest in environmental sustainability and waste management.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).

6. Previous experience or knowledge in waste management and plastic pollution is an advantage.

Preference:

1. Good understanding of city area and local waste management practices.

2. Access to personal vehicle for the local commute (responsible for own conveyance), working system, and internet.
