About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Handling and analyzing large set of constituency and election data with reasonable analytical skills and, converting the unstructured data into actionable, readable, presentable form
2. Knitting crucial pieces of information together from different sources to develop implementable strategies
3. Leveraging inputs from other teams at AAP and showing highly collaborative and positive attitude to achieve the task at hand
4. Assisting the political research and analysis team in creating political strategies for respective constituencies backed by in-depth research

1. Must have a Bachelor's in political science/MBA/Engineering or any other related field from a premium institute (1+ years of experience will be preferred)

3. Must be proficient in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel and any other related software to analyze data and create reports and presentations

4. Must have a critical mindset to evaluate the standing of political parties and candidates

5. Must possess good analytical skills and the ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and campaigns

The essence of a democracy is that young minds join the political process to ensure that governments keep pace with the evolving needs and aspirations of society. However, the difference in the average age of politicians as compared to citizens is staggering and the time has come for India's youth to engage in the political process. Unfortunately, Indian politics is at a juncture where ordinary citizens have no access to enter into politics or participate in the electoral process until they belong to a political family.
