Postgres Database Administration Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Monitor the performance of the database and ensure optimum performance
2. Identify potential issues in the database to solve them early
3. Maintain backups and perform disaster recovery in case a disaster destroys the database
4. Monitor security and prevent any unauthorized access to the database
5. Schedule consistent maintenance on the server
6. Maintain database schema
7. Manage database availability
8. Give best practice guidance to the development team
9. Resolve any production data issues
10. Work on taplespace management
11. Work on role management
12. Develop automation technologies to accelerate the process of data loading
13. Develop relational databases
14. Ensure data integrity
15. Manage user access and permissions by adding and removing users as required
16. Work as a team player and understand the technical/functional area
17. Create the objects in the database, such as triggers, indexes, etc.
