A Testing Engineer is required to fully test the product or system to ensure it functions properly and meets the business needs. In order to successfully conduct manual tests, you first need to understand the requirements of the software. By understanding the requirements, you ll know what needs to be tested and what classifies a defect. This is a crucial part of manual testing as the main goal is to make sure the software is bug-free.
The job responsibilities include:
1. Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance
2. Working with the development team to identify and capture test cases
3. Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases
4. Providing feedback on usability, tracing the result to the quality risk and reporting it to concerned people
5. Checking the correctness of the product images
Should have knowledge in:
1. Food - recipes, cuisine, ingredients
2. FMCG and CPG products (brands)
3. Supermarket chains and their product categories
4. Food science - flavor, nutrition, and claims
