About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct visual and physical inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications
2. Perform quality checks on cushions, including dimensions, density, firmness, and fabric inspection
3. Identify and document defects, non-conformities, or irregularities in products
4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, defect reports, and quality control data
5. Participate in identifying areas for process improvement and propose solutions
6. Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
7. Assist in evaluating supplier quality performance
8. Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of quality control principles, testing methods, and industry standards

Other requirements

1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, textile science, or a related field

2. Basic knowledge of quality control principles and standards

3. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

4. Good communication and interpersonal skills

5. Basic computer skills (MS Office, Excel)

6. Ability to stand for long periods, lift to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

7. Previous internship or co-op experience in quality control or manufacturing

8. Familiarity with quality management software (e.g., QMS, ISO 9001)
