R&D Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Work on procurement & sourcing of chemical raw materials & packaging materials
2. Work on on-the-job training in sending an enquiry and gathering quotes for market price comparison
3. Learn how to do final price negotiations with vendors as per costing norms
4. Learn to develop optimum vendor relationships & negotiate for credit terms with vendors
5. Work on alternative vendor developments & vendor relationship management through R&D
6. Attend exhibitions & trade shows with senior executives
7. Learn and coordinate with your manager to attend to quality-related issues and arrange as per the client s QC guidelines
8. Create purchase orders in the ERP
9. Learn stock-level management & maintain a buffer stock of fast-moving items
10. Coordinate with the sales team & warehouse team for smooth functioning
11. Coordinate with internal departments for vendor payments and other issues
12. Learn how to prepare weekly MIS reports (including but not limited to updated records of purchased products & delivery information, preparation of monthly reports for cash and credit, & preparation of costing of all products including cost analysis)

Requirements:

1. Technical skillset: Computer proficient
2. Language skillset: Fluency in English Language (spoken & written)
3. Other attributes: A self-motivated individual with a pleasant personality
