About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Performing extensive research in alternate cell material for anode/cathode/electrolyte
2. Performing experiments on cell chemistry to build a reliable and sustainable battery technology

Added requirements

1. Must be aware of material synthesis for carbon-based electrodes, dual carbon batteries, reduced graphene oxides, ceramic electrolytes, etc.

2. Must be a Ph.D. scholar (thesis submitted/completed degree) or at least masters in the relevant field to take battery research forward (relevant fields - chemical engineering, chemistry, nanotechnology, material synthesis, semiconductors, energy storage, electronics, etc.)

3. Must have worked upon solid electrolyte or should have some knowledge.

4. 3 - 4 years of research experience preferred

5. Students pursuing the relevant course may also apply

6. Experience/Knowledge with peptide batteries, protein-based batteries preferred

7. Should have worked with research-level cell production equipment and machines.

8. Knowledge of different cell sizes and its benefits - pouch cell, cylindrical, prismatic cells, etc.

9. Well versed with energy density, voltage, internal resistance, and other cell specifications

10. Research experience in alternate battery technologies and materials for solid-state batteries

About Nexus Power

Felis Leo Ventures was started with a motive to promote sustainability and green technologies across genres. Building on the concept of industrial ecology and bio-mimicry, we are working on a rechargeable bio-organic battery from crop residue. This would solve the issue of dealing with the waste generated from the farms after harvesting. These batteries charge faster, last longer, and are eco-friendly. They are a substitute for Lithium-ion batteries and will be used in mobile phones, EVs, etc. to remove the toxicity. Nexus - The fast charge batteries are bio-organic in nature. Made out of proteins, they have a better range as compared to the batteries existing in the market. Our batteries give a minimum 400 - 450 Kms range for a 4 wheeler passenger vehicle and the battery (designed for 4 wheelers, i.e. 30 kWh) attains a full charge in about 15 minutes and the battery designed for the mobile phones (10 Wh) attains a full charge in only 2 minutes.
