About the internship
IN-DEED is currently working on developing an app, which is essentially a software solution for student assessment. We need a Software Developer (INTERN), preferably a 3rd or final-year computer/IT engineering student or a fresh graduate software engineer. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn on the job while contributing to the development of a solution aimed at enabling government school students to take online assessments, enhance their learning and understanding of curriculum subjects, and improve academic performance. We are seeking a skilled and motivated software developer to join our dynamic team. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and a good understanding of MAUI/WPF for developing modern and responsive applications.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design, develop using C# and ASP.NET Core.
2. Create RESTful Web APIs to facilitate seamless integration with other systems and applications.
3. Implement OOP principles and best practices in all development activities.
4. Develop cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI or WPF.
5. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
6. Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and ensure reliability.
7. Write clean, scalable, and efficient code adhering to coding standards and guidelines.
8. Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality.
9. Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks to continuously improve development practices.

Other requirements
1. Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in software development using C# and ASP.NET Core.
3. Strong understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns.
4. Experience in developing and consuming Web APIs.
5. Knowledge in .NET MAUI and/or WPF for creating modern user interfaces.
6. Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL Server or MySQL.
7. Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
10. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
