1. Maintaining documentation & presentation and drafting proposals/reports, when needed
2. Developing/Maintaining project deliverables under the direction of the project manager and coordinating with team members/clients
3. Handling back-office work for software project management (accounts, HR, drafting, communication, filling, and data management)
4. Assisting in end-to-end recruitment and related activities
5. Gathering and refining specifications/requirements and conveying them to the development team
6. Creating and maintaining software documentation
7. Staying plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and applying them to operations/activities
8. Performing software/tool testing shared by IIT-B
9. Carrying out research on a given topic and seeing how it fits into our project
Note:
1. We started with developing 'OpenOCRCorrect', an end-to-end framework for error detection/corrections in Indic-OCR (the demo video for our framework is at https://youtu.be/u9bqUDrGugc - must-watch for candidates). The model should detect text with maximum accuracy and draw bounding boxes on each line of the text. The second step would be spelling correction/formatting of the text detected by OCR models. 2. This internship is work-from-home, preferably for 2020-21 graduates who deal with people, data, and timeline management, involving only software installation/troubleshooting
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) is one of the fifteen higher institutes of technology in the country, set up intending to make facilities available for higher education, research, and training in various fields of science and technology. Professor Ganesh Ramakrishnan (department of CSE) and professor Ramasubramanian (department of humanities and social sciences) are attempting to significantly speed up the process of digitization of Sanskrit texts. Enabled by the OCR and post-editing related technologies developed at IIT Bombay, they are now seeking the participation of the community of Sanskrit lovers, software developers, machine learning enthusiasts, project managers, etc.
