About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist the deck ambassador with setting up the classroom before class, including arranging benches and organizing toys. Inflate the slide and ensure that all toys are in order and easily accessible. When setting up benches, ensure they are placed upside down to allow any air bubbles to escape.
2. Keep the class toys in order and separate for easy access. Familiarize yourself with the names of the equipment (e.g., barbells/dumbbells, kickboards, noodles, motorboats) so you can quickly provide the right item when the teacher requests it.
3. When collecting toys between activities, be sure to count the items to ensure everything is returned.
4. Check with the teacher at the start of each class for the game of the day and the setup required.
5. Be proactive in organizing equipment, so the class runs smoothly without unnecessary delays.
6. If a student arrives late, inform the deck ambassador so attendance can be updated accordingly. Ensure that all late arrivals are recorded for accurate tracking.
7. If a child or parent is hurt or experiencing symptoms like vomiting, promptly alert the deck ambassador to assist. If the deck ambassador is unavailable, take immediate action by using the first aid kit or assisting with clean-up procedures.
8. Be prepared to enter the pool to clean up or assist with any pool-related needs, ensuring class time isn't wasted.
9. Familiarize yourself with the schedule and ensure all equipment is ready and operational in advance, reducing any downtime during lessons.
10. Send emails and WhatsApp messages daily as needed based on instructions by supervisor

About Water Town Swim School
Water Town Swim School specializes in swim lessons for children from 4 months to 4 years old. We do not view swimming solely as a sport of getting from point A to point B but rather as one of the best ways to maximize a child's potential. Research has proven that early swim lessons help a child develop physically, mentally, intellectually, and even socially.
