About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Client support: Assist in responding to customer inquiries via email, chat, or phone promptly and professionally, shadowing senior team members to learn how to provide step-by-step assistance on hosting-related issues
2. Troubleshooting: Learn to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to server performance, website errors, and hosting account management under supervision, gaining experience in DNS configuration, SSL certificate installation, and database connectivity issues
3. Server monitoring and maintenance: Assist in monitoring server performance and ensuring uptime in alignment with SLAs, participating in routine server maintenance and updates under guidance
4. Knowledge sharing: Contribute to documenting common issues and solutions for internal and customer use, assisting in developing a knowledge base to empower customers with self-service options
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the technical support team and DevOps engineers to address escalated issues, providing input on recurring problems and suggesting potential improvements to the hosting platform
6. Customer education: Learn to guide customers on using hosting control panels (e.g., sPanel, Plesk) and other tools, assisting clients in understanding technical terminologies and processes in a user-friendly manner
7. Security and compliance: Support clients with security configurations such as firewalls, backups, and malware scans, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and data protection regulations

Other requirements

1. Basic knowledge of Linux server environments

2. Familiarity with web hosting platforms (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, WHM) is a plus

3. Awareness of web technologies like HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL

4. Understanding of DNS, FTP, SMTP, and SSL protocols (preferred but not required)

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

6. Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail

7. A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

8. Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields

9. Certifications in Linux, cloud computing, or hosting technologies are a plus but not mandatory
