About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Edit raw video footage into cohesive, high-quality news segments, documentaries, and feature stories.
2. Collaborate with reporters, producers, and other editorial staff to understand story objectives and align the final product with the editorial vision.
3. Incorporate graphics, text, and sound effects to enhance video storytelling.
4. Ensure all video content meets technical specifications for various platforms, including web, social media, and broadcast.
5. Manage and organize video assets and maintain a well-structured archive system.
6. Stay updated on the latest video editing software, tools, and techniques to continually improve video production quality.
7. Work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Other requirements

1. Degree in film production, multimedia journalism, communication, or a related field.

2. Experience as a video editor, especially in news or media, is preferred.

3. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar.

4. Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.

5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

6. Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.

7. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.

8. Familiarity with current events and a passion for journalism.

9. Knowledge of motion graphics and animation is a plus.
