Ashwini Charitable Trust fondly referred to as 'act' by its trustees, volunteers, and sponsors - is an NGO that was started in the year 2000 by a group of women to educate and empower underprivileged children of Ulsoor slums in Bangalore. The work at 'act' involves many people: our volunteers, our donors, our staff, and our helpers. The helpers comprise of 'act' mothers - the mothers of children who are registered with the trust.
