1. Demonstrable portfolio and expertise in previous web design projects.
2. Practical knowledge of different designing tools, such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Sketch.
3. Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and usability principles, especially for websites.
4. Proficiency in graphic design, art, and psychology with a sense of how different elements work together on a web page.
5. A creative thinker with excellent visual communication skills, multimedia design skills, and computer adeptness.
6. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
