ALT TEXT Writer (Mathematics) Work From Home Internship

This is a remote role for an Alt-Text Project with Solvitude, an industry leader in content development and accessibility services.

The Alt-Text writer will be responsible for creating detailed and descriptive alt-text for images, including graphs, charts, diagrams, equations, and illustrations used in educational content. The goal is to ensure that visually impaired users receive an accurate and clear understanding of the image content, aligning with accessibility standards.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Write descriptive and accurate ALT TEXT for Mathematics concepts, diagrams, charts, and other educational images.
2. Collaborate with team members to meet accessibility guidelines and industry standards.
3. Cross-check alt-text with the quality team to enhance content quality.
4. Interpret images in the context of surrounding text to determine purpose, relevance, and appropriate terminology.
5. Ensure all ALT TEXT descriptions are clear, grammatically correct, and meet quality standards.
6. Read and comprehend subject material from textbooks to create customized and accurate content.
7. Review alt-text in provided templates/platforms to ensure compliance with job-specific instructions and general accessibility guidelines.
8. Ensure adherence to correct spelling, grammar, and content appropriateness in all deliverables.
