Architecture/Staff Estimation Work From Home Internship

The staff estimator will be responsible for participating in the development of bid check estimates. This position will develop accurate bottom-up estimates in a credible and professional manner while minimizing risk to the company.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Develop estimate schedules to manage workload and ensure timely completion of estimates
2. Review RFP and engineering documents for gaps and overlaps in the scope of work.
3. Work on detailed documentation of quantity take-offs and constructability analysis
4. Work on the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
2. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
3. Must have knowledge and experience developing estimates and bidding on midstream construction work
4. Must be familiar with factors that affect work productivity, be able to identify them, and appropriately incorporate them into cost estimates
5. Ability to work independently or in groups, think creatively and analytically and make quick and sound decisions.
6. Demonstrated attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Proficient with Microsoft Office and, in particular, Excel.
