About the work from home job/internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist in developing and implementing cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV
2. Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI, ensuring high performance, scalability, and robustness
3. Deploy computer vision applications on edge devices like Raspberry Pi, and Nvidia Jetson fleet of devices, optimizing for hardware constraints and leveraging acceleration libraries like OpenCV and TensorFlow Lite
4. Implement and optimize computer vision tasks such as image preprocessing, object detection, segmentation, and classification
5. Utilize Docker for containerization to ensure consistent and efficient deployment of applications across various environments
6. Explore and implement vector similarity search techniques to enhance product offerings
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to solve complex technical challenges and achieve project milestones
8. Maintain and update comprehensive project documentation, ensuring clarity, completeness, and accessibility for team members
9. Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, and performance

Other requirements
1. Experience with C++ for performance-critical components in computer vision applications (not required to be an expert, but a valuable skill)
2. Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, and Nvidia Jetson projects, including deployment and optimization of AI models
3. Familiarity with NVIDIA DeepStream, Triton server, TensorRT, and other NVIDIA frameworks for deploying AI models on edge devices
4. Experience with version control systems like Git, including branching, merging, and pull request workflows
5. Prior experience deploying machine learning models to production environments, including model serving and scaling
6. Participation in relevant competitions or hackathons (e.g., Kaggle) demonstrating practical skills and innovation in computer vision tasks
