India Welfare Trust (IWT) is a philanthropic foundation established to promote volunteering and giving in India. It spearheads the #EveryIndianVolunteering initiative and backs #LivingMyPromise and #DaanUtsav.
#DaanUtsav is India's festival of giving, observed annually from October 2-8. Millions of Indians contribute their time, money, materials, or skills to aid others during this week.
#EveryIndianVolunteering aims to expand sustained volunteering in India by supporting organizations that involve a large number of volunteers through knowledge resources and funding.
#LivingMyPromise encourages middle and upper-middle-class Indians to pledge 50% or more of their wealth to causes they support, thereby resetting philanthropy standards in India.
