About the work from home job/internship
As a founding frontend engineer intern at WalkThru, you will play a key role in building sleek, high-performance interfaces for our VSCode extension and web platform. You'll work closely with the founding team, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies, and contribute directly to shaping the product.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Develop & maintain UI: Build user-friendly, interactive frontend components using React, Next.js, and Redux.
2. Collaborate with backend team: Integrate frontend interfaces with RESTful APIs to ensure seamless data flow.
3. State management: Implement and maintain application state using Redux for performance and scalability.
4. Optimize performance: Debug, optimize, and enhance load times, FPS, and smooth user interactions.
5. Ensure responsiveness: Implement responsive design using Tailwind CSS to create visually appealing, mobile-friendly interfaces.
6. Utilize TypeScript: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with TypeScript for better reliability.
7. Enhance user experience: Contribute to UI/UX improvements by implementing intuitive navigation and interactions.
8. Work on VSCode extensions: Develop and refine features for our VSCode extension, learning about extension architecture and API integrations.
9. Innovation & ownership: Take initiative in implementing new features, optimizing workflows, and contributing to the overall architecture of the product.
