About Vote Ki Awaaz

Vote Ki Awaaz, (VKA) is an online voter assistance platform built to use the digital space to maximize voter participation in the electoral debate. It provides voters with one-click access to audio representations of their ward-specific candidates, structured as per the questions submitted by the voters to the platform and the legally obligated responsibilities of the elected body.

Our intervention is primarily in the media ecosystem where we seek to maximize discussion on grassroots issues. The platform is therefore being implemented only in local body elections (ULBs and Panchayati Raj's) to provide a non-competitive media space that exclusively debates hyper-localized and ward-specific developmental concerns, and develops accountability for the legally obligated responsibilities of the elected local body.
