About the work from home job/internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
a. Editorial & Journalism:
1. Writing news articles, features, and investigative pieces on horror, sci-fi, and fantasy
2. Conducting interviews with filmmakers, authors, artists, and industry professionals
3. Reviewing horror films, books, and shows
4. Researching and compiling in-depth reports on horror subcultures, trends, and history
5. Fact-checking and editing content for accuracy and tone
6. Writing op-eds and thought pieces on horror cinema and pop culture
b. Social Media & Marketing:
1. Managing and scheduling social media content (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
2. Creating engaging posts, memes, and threads to spark discussions in horror communities
3. Writing SEO-friendly blog posts and listicles
4. Assisting with email marketing and newsletter campaigns
5. Tracking trending horror topics and viral content
c. Research & Outreach:
1. Finding and curating emerging horror films, books, and creators to feature
2. Reaching out to filmmakers, authors, and journalists for collaborations
3. Compiling and maintaining a press contacts database
4. Researching horror festivals, screenings, and major industry events
5. Assisting in writing and distributing press releases
d. Multimedia & Digital Support:
1. Editing audio/video content for interviews, podcasts, and trailers
2. Assisting with podcast research, scripting, and guest coordination
3. Managing and updating the Terror Talkies website (WordPress/Wix)
4. Organizing digital archives, past articles, and horror film databases
