Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Designing and developing REST API endpoints for CRUD operations on MongoDB collections, adhering to coding practices and standards of the company
2. Developing Flask routes, services, and models for the REST APIs
3. Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code
4. Ensuring high performance and scalability of the APIs by optimizing database queries and server response times
5. Implementing data validation and error handling for user inputs and responses
6. Writing unit tests for the APIs and ensuring proper integration with the MongoDB database
7. Collaborating with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration of APIs with the user interface
8. Monitoring and maintaining the performance, security, and scalability of the REST APIs
9. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Python, Flask, and MongoDB development, and suggesting improvements to the existing code base
10. Troubleshooting and debugging issues with the REST APIs as they arise
