1. A master’s degree in molecular biotechnology, molecular biology, or a closely related field is preferred.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of molecular biotechnology concepts and techniques.
3. Hands-on experience in molecular biotechnology research.
4. Familiarity with current research and technological advancements in biotechnology.
5. Experience teaching or tutoring biotechnology or related subjects at the college or university level.
6. Experience with online teaching platforms and methods.
7. Experience in developing course materials, including lectures, problem sets, and lab simulations.
8. Ability to use online education platforms (e.g., Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle).
9. Familiarity with virtual lab simulations and biotechnology software (e.g., bioinformatics tools, genetic analysis software).
10. Be comfortable using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and creating engaging multimedia content.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
12. Possess the ability to explain complex biotechnology concepts clearly and effectively.
13. Skill in creating an interactive and engaging online learning environment.
14. Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to students.
15. Availability to meet with students in different time zones.
16. Patience and empathy to support diverse learners with varying levels of understanding.
17. Ability to motivate and inspire students.
