We are seeking a detail-oriented and accessibility-focused individual to join our team as a PDF Accessibility Remediation and WCAG Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for remediating PDF documents to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and Section 508 standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in accessibility remediation, a strong understanding of WCAG guidelines, and proficiency in using assistive technologies.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Remediating PDF documents to ensure accessibility and compliance with WCAG 2.1 and Section 508 standards
2. Conducting accessibility audits and identifying areas for improvement
3. Applying accessibility fixes using Adobe Acrobat and other tools
4. Collaborating with teams to ensure accessibility is integrated into document creation workflows
5. Staying up-to-date with evolving accessibility standards and best practices

1. 2+ years of experience in accessibility remediation, preferably with PDF documents
2. Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 guidelines and Section 508 standards
3. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and assistive technologies
4. Attention to detail and ability to work independently
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (5% of revenue generated).
