About the work from home job/internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Audio File Management: Download and organize audio files by language and speaker count
2. Transcription:
a. Listen carefully to audio files and transcribe spoken content into text
b. Ensure accuracy in capturing every spoken word and maintaining the original meaning
c. Mark unclear or inaudible sections with appropriate tags for further review
3. Quality Control:
a. Review and proofread transcriptions to correct any errors or omissions
b. Cross-check transcriptions against audio files to ensure consistency and accuracy
c. Follow project guidelines and standards for formatting and notation
4. Time Management: Meet daily transcription targets and manage tasks efficiently
5. Communication: Report progress and issues and maintain regular updates with supervisors
6. Documentation: Keep detailed records of transcribed files and submit completed work
7. Language Proficiency:
a. Utilize language skills to accurately transcribe audio in the specific languages required (Assamese, Kashmiri, Manipuri, Bodo, Sindhi, Odia, Rajasthani, Gujarati, and Marathi)
b. Be attentive to dialects, accents, and language nuances to ensure precise transcription
8. Feedback and Improvement: Participate in feedback sessions and implement improvements
9. Technical Skills:
a. Use transcription software effectively and troubleshoot issues
b. Troubleshoot any technical issues with audio files or transcription software
10. Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
11. Weekly Responsibilities: Attend team meetings and participate in training sessions
