As a transcriptor, your primary responsibility will be to transcribe data from Kashmiri to Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq) script. You will be required to accurately convert spoken or written Kashmiri content into written text using the Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq) script.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Transcribe audio or written content from Kashmiri to Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq) script
2. Ensure accuracy and consistency in transcribing linguistic nuances and cultural references
3. Review and edit transcriptions for quality and completeness
4. Adhere to deadlines and production schedules for timely delivery of transcribed content
5. Collaborate with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
1. Fluency in Kashmiri and Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq) script
2. Native speaker of either Kashmiri, Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq), or both languages.
3. Age not exceeding 60 years
4. Residency in regions where Kashmiri and/or Perso-Arabic (Nastaliq) languages are commonly spoken
5. Recording Device Type:
Candidates for this job position should be familiar with and proficient in using recording devices suitable for audio transcription
6. Recording Environment:
The recording environment for this job position should be conducive to clear and accurate audio capture

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 50 per hour transcription).
