We are seeking experienced transcriptionists to transcribe data from Manipuri to Meitei languages. Candidates must have a strong command of either one or both of these languages as their mother tongue. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the cultural nuances and linguistic intricacies of these languages, ensuring accurate and high-quality transcription.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Transcribe audio data from Manipuri to Meitei languages
2. Ensure accuracy and adherence to linguistic and cultural norms
3. Review and edit transcriptions as necessary for quality assurance
4. Meet deadlines for transcription projects
5. Maintain confidentiality and security of transcribed data
Requirements:
1. Proficiency in Manipuri and/or Meitei languages
2. Fluent in spoken and written English for communication purposes
3. Previous experience in transcription or language-related work preferred
4. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
5. Familiarity with transcription software and tools is a plus
Qualifications:
1. Must be a native speaker of Manipuri and/or Meitei languages
2. Age limit: Not more than 60 years
3. Must be a resident of a region where Manipuri and/or Meitei languages are commonly used
4. Experience with transcription or linguistic work preferred but not mandatory
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcription
6. Equipment and Environment:
Recording device type required: High-quality digital audio recorder or computer with recording software
Recording environment: Quiet and distraction-free environment for accurate transcription

Stipend structure: This is a performance-based internship. In addition to the minimum-assured stipend, you will also be paid a performance-linked incentive (₹ 50 per hour transcription).
